French Onion Burger

  1. 1 lbs ground beef
  2. 1-2 teas Worcestershire sauce
  3. 1/2 teas of each CattleBoyZ Big Country Garlic and Gourmet
  4. 1/4 teas pepper
  5. 2 tbs olive oil
  6. 1 onion, sliced
  7. 2 tbs white wine
  8. sliced Gruyere cheese
  9. 1 tbs coarse grain mustard
  10. 1 tbs mayo
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire, garlic salt and the Gluten Free CattleBoyZ seasonings. Form into 4 patties. Cover and set in refrigerator until ready to cook, at least one hour.
  2. Preheat grill.
  3. Heat 1 tbs olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 8-10 minutes until just starting to brown. Add the wine, scraping up any browned bits, cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 – 15 minutes more. Remove from skillet, cover with aluminum foil, and set aside.
  4. Cook the burgers on a grill or even a skillet if you have one. Cook until a nice crust forms on bottom, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook 2 minutes longer. Place slices of cheese on burgers cook for another 2-3 minutes with till cheese is melted. Can close the lid at the end if the cheese has not melted.
  5. Mix the mustard and mayo together and spread on toasted buns. Top with a patty and a heaping portion of onion
